About the films: Young women from working class settlements are venturing into the city to take up livelihood opportunities that the fast-changing city is throwing up. The Raahi films offer a glimpse into the everyday lives of seven such young travellers of the city.

About the Filmmakers/ Process The Raahi films have been made by young women from Ankur collectives in five different working-class settlements of Delhi, using mobile cameras. This is their first attempt at making films. Over a period of four months, they researched, wrote scripts, made audio-visual recordings and learnt about film editing. The Ankur collective provides space to young women to strengthen peer networks, engage in research and creative practice and explore alternatives for future.
Facilitation - Samina Mishra, Tenzin Kunchok, Anish Pavitran and the Ankur team
